A paper by the Department of Oncology Virus, Graduate School of Medicine, Dentistry and Pharmacy at Okayama University in Japan, revealed that cordycephine contributed to the anti-HCV activity of Cordyceps militaris in Chinese medicinal herbs, and expected Cordyceps militaris to be useful as an oral anti-HCV agent.
