In this study, we demonstrated that the hot water extract of Cordyceps militaris induces apoptosis, which strongly inhibits the growth of HL-60 human precursor myeloid leukemia cells. The apoptosis-inducing activity of Cordyceps militaris bacteria can mean a new mechanism for anti-tumor and other health-promoting effects of Cordyceps militaris herbs, presenting new opportunities for application in cancer treatment and autoimmune disease treatment.
